How to use Scope

Question

Question

Please tell me how to use the “Scope” of the servo system setting software KSD-Soft.

Answer

Answer

Using “Scope”, you can visualize the operation of the servo system and the status of each signal.
See below for basic usage.

Basic usage

Start KSD-Soft and connect it to the servo system.
Start the “Prameter Editor” and click “Read Parameter” from the icon to read the servo driver parameters.

1. Starting the Scope

Start “Scope”.
On this screen, you can monitor up to 8 data items at the same time.

2. Monitor signal settings

Check the “CH” boxes for the number of signals you want to monitor, and remove the check marks for the other channels.
Select the signal you want to monitor from the pull-down menu.
Please check “32bit” for data managed in 32bit, such as location data.
If 32bit is specified, 2CH will be used. Therefore, if all data is monitored in 32bit, the number of channels that can be used is 4CH.

(You can monitor the latest 8K/16K)

4. Save monitored data

If you want to save the monitored data to disk, click the “Save as SCP file” icon.

5. Expansion/reduction/optimization of monitored data

You can zoom the area by dragging it with your mouse.
