Not counted

Question

Question

An NPN open collector output proximity sensor is connected to KCV-4S,
Counting has stopped working.
What should I do?

Answer

Answer

If it is operating with a sensor with NPN open collector output, it is set to negative logic input.
If the counter is an AC power type, the input terminal is open and the voltage is around +24V.
If it is a DC power type, it depends on the power supply voltage.
To check operation, first remove the wiring from the sensor power terminal and input terminal and check the voltage.
If there is a significant drop from +24V (less than 20V, less than 7V for DC power type),
The counter may be broken, so please request repair through the purchasing route.
Or please contact the “Inquiry Desk”.
If the voltage is normal, short the input terminal and 0V terminal and check if it counts.
If the counting operation is performed with this operation, the counter is considered to be normal.
Please check that there are no abnormalities in sensor operation or wiring.
