Question

Connect TRD-N1000-RZ to the high-speed counter unit of PLC.
The output circuit is totem-pole. Is it possible to connect the counter input to the source type ?

Answer

The totem-pole output is capable of both current source and sink, and has both PNP open collector and NPN open collector functions.
Therefore, it is possible to connect the source input.
The pull-up voltage can be up to 30V, the source (outflow) current is 10mA, and the sink (inflow) current is 30mA.
Check that the input pull-up voltage and ON-state current of the high-speed counter are within this range.
