Parallel connection of totem-pole outputs

Question

Question

I am using the totem-pole output of the TRD-N/GK series connected to the high-speed counter input of the PLC.
Add a high speed counter and use it for another control.
Is it possible to connect in parallel?
The high-speed counter input has a pull-up voltage of 24V, a current of 2 to 5mA, and can be used for both + and – commons.

Answer

Answer

The totem-pole output of the TRD-N series has a current sink of 30mA / current source of 10mA.
Therefore, if the PLC high-speed counter input current is 5mA
When used with + common, up to 6 units can be connected.
When used with – common, up to 2 units can be connected.

However, if the product is used near the upper limit of the rating, please conduct sufficient operation verification.

Note that the totem-pole output of the TRD-GK series has a 30mA specification for both current sink and current source, so up to 6 units can be used.
