GC-5x GC-A2 replace PLC communication cables

Question

I used to use the GC-50 series.
I would like to replace the HMI with GC-A2.
Can I use the communication cable with the PLC as it is?

Answer

It cannot be used as it is.
The connector shape and pin assignment are different.
The communication port of the GC-50 series is DSUB 9 pin (male).
The communication port of the GC-A2 series is DSUB 15 pin (male).
For RS-232C, the conversion cable connection diagram is shown below.
