Question
I want to connect proximity sensors in parallel (series).
Is it possible?

DC 2-wire system (DC2W)
Parallel connection (OR) and Series connection (AND) are not possible.
DC 3-wire system (DC3W)
Parallel connection (OR) and series connection (AND) are possible.

About the number of connectable devices
Parallel connection (OR)
The “off-state current” of APS4-12S-E is less than 0.1mA.
When the “minimum on-current” of the connected PLC input module is 4.5mA
Theoretically, 4.5 / 0.1 = 45 units can be connected in parallel.
Series connection (AND)
The “voltage drop” of APS4-12S-E is 1.0V or less.
If the minimum on-voltage of the connected PLC input module is 19V
Theoretically, (24 – 19) / 1.0 = 5 units can be connected in series.(For DC24V)
