Question
KCV-4S is connected to APS4-12M-E.
I would like to add another KCV there.
How many counters can be connected with one proximity sensor?
Answer
The number of counters that can be connected to the output of the proximity sensor is determined by the rated working current of the proximity sensor and the input current of the counter.
The rated working current of APS4-12M-E is 50mA at maximum.
In the case of negative logic, the input current of KCV-4S is about 7.3mA because the input resistance is 3.3k-ohm and the pull-up voltage is 24V.
Therefore, up to 50mA / 7.3mA –> 6 units can be connected.
